I am told that Linux support for redirection is coming this year for the 10ZiG devices.no word on ChromeOS. Surprise, the Windows versions work great and the NOS (Linux) versions don't! It really has little to do with the device. Our next round of investigation has been 10ZiG devices.
Chromebooks can't do it because there is no Microsoft or Zoom support for it. We could not get good performance without it. MS Teams and Zoom, which are the 2 most required tools for this we see all require client redirection to work properly on a video call. It's because everyone's solution for the intricate network web that the tools use to make RTAV happen on a video call is to offload it to the client! So what does this mean? It means Windows. It's not because the Chromebook can't handle it necessarily. Well we found what you found.Chromebooks can't handle it. Suddenly, everyone needs collaboration tools with RTAV, right?
